Parking Lot Closure – Please be advised that the LUMC parking lot will be closed on September 25th and 26th for repaving. Those who need to access the building during that time can utilize nearby street parking.

 

La Puente Commissioning – This Sunday we commission the Adult Mission Team as they prepare for their upcoming mission trip to La Puente. Thank you for your support!

 

Third Grade Bible Sunday – Today is Third Grade Bible Sunday! Bible Boot Camp for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders runs today through October 11th from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Contact Lisa Perkins with questions.

 

Preparing for the Election Class – LUMC’s Preparing for the Election class takes place Sundays through October 25th. Join us from 10:00-10:50 a.m. in the Reception Hall for a nonpartisan effort in our purple community to build the “Kindom” of God. For more information, click here. 

 

Green Team Meeting – Tony Schmidt, USGS lead lab safety manager in the water division, will speak at the next Green Team meeting on September 23rd from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Reception Hall. Let’s learn about laundry and dishwasher detergent chemicals, which products we can choose for our own health, and which ones are not harmful to our environment.

 

Senior Bus Trip – The Senior Adult Council has scheduled a bus trip to see the fall leaves in Guanella Pass on September 24th! Meet in the LUMC parking lot to depart at 9:30 a.m. with plans to return around 3:00 p.m. The cost is $10.00 + the price of your lunch. There is a limit of 14 seats so please contact the front office to secure your spot.

 

UMYF Family Dinner – On September 27th all families of youth are invited to come with their students to Grant Fellowship Hall at 5:30 p.m. for a potluck dinner, fun family activities, and announcements about the upcoming year in Youth Ministry.

 

Electronics Recycling – The Green Team invites you to Hope UMC’s free Electronics Recycling Event on October 3rd. From 9:00 a.m. to noon, bring your old computers, monitors, cables, televisions, batteries, cell phones, speakers, and printers to 5101 S. Dayton St. Drop off your items and help us keep e-waste out of landfills!

Diaper Drive – A baby can use 50 diapers a week. Your gift of diapers and wipes can provide practical support and encouragement to a local family. Help keep little ones clean and cared for; add to the stack of diapers and wipes in the breezeway this September..

 

Altar Flowers – Honor a loved one or special occasion by providing fresh flowers for our altar. Sign up in the notebook at the Welcome Center.
