Welcome to worship here at Littleton United Methodist! We make space for everyone to worship with us, and invite you to make LUMC your church home. Our Sunday worship is done in a “traditional” style featuring hymns, prayers, and a relevant message. The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month.

Sunday Worship Times
7:35 AM Silent Centering Prayer Service
Our Centering Prayer Service takes place in the LUMC Chapel and includes a chance to connect, a short reading, and a scripture reading, followed by 20 minutes of Centering Prayer and a closing prayer. All are invited to join us to explore and learn more about Centering Prayer and to experience in community this contemplative practice rooted in early Christianity. You may join us in our LUMC Chapel or online. Contact Marilyn Wells for more information.
8:30 AM Service
This service is done in a "traditional" style and features a selection of hymns, prayers, and spiritual messages shared by our ministry. During the school year, this service features our youth choir "CrossFire," while the summer features soloists, ensembles, and other special music. Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month.
11:00 AM Service
This service is also done in a "traditional" style and features a selection of hymns, prayers, and spiritual messages shared by our ministry. While our Adult Chancel Choir is featured for most of the year, summertime features our walk-in “Summer Choir," which is open to all. Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month.

Braving the Wilderness
What does it mean to belong? That is one of the most important questions for a church family to ask and answer. It used to be that seekers would look for a place that believed what they did, then join in. Now, a person who finds their way into a church tend to primarily be more interested in whether they can see themselves as part of the family.
Through a new sermon series, beginning Sunday, November 1st, Pastor Chris will be drawing from Brené Brown’s wisdom in her book Braving the Wilderness.
She writes: "True belonging is not about fitting in, pretending, or making the people around us comfortable because that’s safer. The four practices of true belonging require us to be vulnerable, get uncomfortable, and learn how to be with people without sacrificing who we are and what we value."
In today’s cultural moment, and in the midst of a contentious political season, it is as important as ever to explore how we ourselves belong, and how we make room in our hearts for others to belong with us.
Children at LUMC
We are delighted to have children at our services and as a part of our faith community. Our weekly services include a Children's Message, and children are invited to move to the Children's Ministry area for Children's Church afterwards (they are also welcome to remain in the service with their families if that is preferred). We also have a nursery is available for infants (up to 2 years) throughout the morning. Sundays also offer Sunday School, and our dedicated Children's ministry is full of activities and fun faith opportunities!
Music at LUMC
The extensive and diverse music offerings at LUMC has a place for everyone! Serving a variety of interests and settings, our Music Ministries, under Dr. David Kates, encourages and nurtures musicians of all ages and experience levels to praise God with joyful sounds.
