Outreach Ministries
LUMC hosts and organizes with several sister-ministries to serve the greater Littleton community.
The work of the Church & Society Committee promotes outreach locally as a Community of Neighbors building relationships, and recruiting volunteers to recognize and serve needs in our community.
We also are proud to host Break Bread – a free community meal program serving hungry neighbors, believing every situation is beloved, and serving in the loving spirit of Christ. Volunteers are needed – please reach out if you are interested in serving your community!
Current Outreach Opportunities
November Coat Drive
Search your closets for winter wear items you no longer use and bring them to the clothing bin in the breezeway. Men, Women and Children’s sizes are needed. Thank you for sharing the warmth!
Gifts for Cherrelyn
Hard to believe, however Church and Society is beginning their annual campaign to put together 50 overflowing Christmas gift bags for residents of our local Cherrelyn Care Center. Starting November 23rd we will have a table in Fellowship Hall where you may make your donation (suggested at $25 per resident). We will do the gift shopping for you. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Collections for HAAT Force
Our Church & Society Committee is sponsoring a food and clothing drive for HAAT Force! HAAT Force has replaced the Severe Weather Shelter Network (SWSN) by providing motel vouchers to families, people with disabilities, pregnant women, people with pets or service animals, older adults and others who are unhoused on severe weather nights in South Metro Denver. So how can you help? By collecting the following and placing them in the church's breezeway!
We Need:
-Hormel Compleats
-Canned chill with pop-top lids
-Crackers in a sleeve
-Shelf-stable milk with expiration beyond November
-Underwear packs for men, women and children (all sizes).
